EXPLORING MY IDEAS: Foreword by Dean Emeritus of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania

Book Launch Party for Exploring My Ideas was held on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Lut Nero, Ph.D., Dean Emeritus of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, attended to this event. When he was given an opportunity to introduce a new published book, Exploring My Ideas, he read what he had written: Foreword. As a sign of appreciation, Fida Abbott, author of Exploring My Ideas, gave a copy of her book to him.

Yunita's Short Speech for Fida's Accomplishment

Book Launch Party that was held by Fida Abbott, author of Exploring My Ideas went well. Yunita Phillips, former General Manager of YKBK publisher in Indonesia (YKBK published Enthusiasm in Indoensian, entitiled Antusiasme) who came from Ohio and attended to this event wasn't able to do her speech, so she sent it to us and let us to publish it here.

YUNITA'S SPEECH

Today we celebrate enthusiasm. The enthusiasm that always inspires

our friend, Fida. When I first got to know Fida, she had just

published her first novel entitled Enthusiasm.

As a person who worked at a publishing house, I appreciated her

writing and immediately fell in love with her story, especially to the

main character.

Fida and I have never met before. We have just communicated mostly

via e-mail or Facebook messenger, and sometimes on the phone or

Skype. As I got to know Fida more, I feel Fida’s enthusiasm for her life

is very strong. Fida is always pro-active and productive. She is always

enthusiastic about her life and she believes that God has provided

everything she needs to fulfill God’s will for her life. She is

always willing to learn new things and very open to work together

with other people. No wonder she has a large number of friends.

Let’s celebrate her new book. Let’s celebrate her enthusiasm and may

her enthusiasm be contagious to all of us.

Book Launch Party for "Exploring My Ideas"

Thank you all who have given responses "YES" or "NO" to attend and not to attend Fida Abbott's Book Launch Party. All guests are special and Fida appreciates your effort and time. Besides family, friends, co-workers, former co-workers, and neighbors, there will be Dean Emeritus of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania who wrote Foreword of Fida's new published book, Former General Manager of YKBK (Indonesian publisher who published Fida's book Enthusiasm in Indonesia) who came from Ohio, Director of Coatesville Area Public Library, Music Director of CASD for Middle School, Rector and Deacon of the Episcopal Church of the Trinity, former Ass. Manager of Walmart in Parkesburg, former Support Manager of Walmart in Parkesburg and former Girl Scouts Troop Leader, etc.
During the event, book will be available for purchase with special discount 20% from the retail price. As most of the guests don't know about Fida's book Enthusiasm and they asked about it, book Enthusiasm will be available for purchase too with 20% discount from the retail price.
There will be door prize, entertainments with non classical and classical music, and silent auction. The proceeds of this silent auction will benefit the Episcopal Church of the Trinity in Coatesville, PA who is going to celebrate 150 Anniversary and is having renovation. BOOK LAUNCH PARTY: Promoting Batik from Indonesia

What will you expect when you attend a book launch party? Book, right? That's right, but in Book Launch Party that will be held by author Fida Abbott on August 4, 2018 will be interesting because it will be very different. She will host a silent auction besides give the opportunity to her guests to purchase her books with 20% discount and have them autographed. This silent auction will benefit the Episcopal Church of the Trinity that is having renovation and will celebrate 150th Anniversary. The silent auction will offer a basket filled with Fida's books, Indonesian products including batik, and other things that are relevant to the stories she wrote in her books.
