GET THE BOOK: 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading

Fida Abbott, author of 'Enthusiasm", has been named one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'. Her honors came as a result of her appearance on The Authors Show.  Abbott was chosen from a field of hundreds of authors through a public voting process.  'Enthusiasm' is a novel based on the author's own true story had won Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for category of novel in April 2010 and this year (2012) it will be released soon in Indonesian version by one of Indonesian Publishers, YKBK (Yayasan Komunikasi Bina Kasih) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Hundreds of thousands of books are written and published every year. Each represents months, years--perhaps decades of arduous effort on the part of these authors of that book. Though nearly all of these authors hope to achieve success, how that success is defined is specific to every individual writer.

This book offers the stories of fifty such authors. As guests of The Authors Show, they have willingly bared their writer's souls to the world. Here you will find amazing stories of success and dismal tales of failure. You will hear narratives of dreams achieved and stories of hopes dashed. Above all you will hear, from the mouths of these writers, what it means to become a successful author.

Wheter you are just starting down the path to becoming a published author or have been a writer for many years, you will find much of interest here. Though it may not appear to be so, the fifty people within were not chosen because they demonstrated extraordinary writing skill, used well crafted phrases or achieved phenomenal sales. Instead the people within were chosen for their ability to verbalize their deep love for their craft, for the inspirational ideas they offer and, in some cases, for the sheer determination that caused them to become one of '50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading'.(*)

NOVEL ENTHUSIASM: Review from Theivanai (Malaysia)

Make Enthusiasm A Part of Your Life

The enthusiasm simply means “great excitement for an interest in a subject or a cause”. It is the stepping stone of achieving your dreams whatever it will be.

I was introduced to this novel called “ENTHUSIASM” by my dear friend Viviana Widjaja. I must say this book is really inspiring. It was a great motivation for me since I started reading this book. I have never heard about Fida R. Abbott until I read this book. Every page was told about her determination, struggle and desire in life to become a published author. Her journey and her wisdom of day to day life with her family and children was her pillar of strength.

I really give a salute to Fida R. Abbott for her sheer determination, passion and courage in writing this book. She had the enthusiasm to make her dream a reality. I really appreciate her for sharing her journey of becoming an author and eventually publishing her book and also becoming a winner of the Book Pinnacle Achievement Award for the Spring 2010. You are truly an eye opener for aspiring writers like me.

I also salute her husband for being so positive and so encouraging in her work. As the saying “behind every successful women there is a man beside her”.

Anyone who has dreams of becoming a writer or anyone who are simply looking for an inspiration in their life to pursue a goal or a dream should read this book. (*)

Enthusiasm is an eye opener to me, making me realized that being a writer is not an easy task. It takes a lot of determination, dedication, hard work and fighting spirit for anyone to accomplish a novel. It also makes me realized that writing a novel is more than just a skill, it is a talent. Well, not all of us has the courage and the patience to spend time in writing. Fida Abbott shows her enthusiasm and how determined she is to pursue her career in the writing industry.
Here, you will see how she started from scratch and how much she balanced her time for her family and work.

Fida is an Indonesian National and married to an American guy. They were blessed with a beautiful and lovely daughter. Her nationality has never been a hindrance to her in fulfilling her dream to become a writer.

Enthusiasm will show you how an aspiring writer struggled and how much she had succeed. Despite of her busy schedule, Fida is still fulfilling her duty and responsibilities as a wife, as a mom, as a working mom and as a writer. Enthusiasm will take you to a journey of a writer towards success. It is very inspiring to see how Fida had achieved after all the obstacles and challenges in life she had faced. From ups and downs, Fida never surrendered or gave up her passion in writing. In fact, it made her a lot of stronger and determined to reach the triumph.

Reading this book makes me realized that if you set your goals and let your passion rises above you and if you take everything by heart , there is nothing impossible for you to achieve. Writing a novel could be more than just a talent, it is a destiny for every writer. (*)

Review From Ruth Dian Purnamasari (Sydney, Australia)

This review is from Amazon, Kindle Edition

I enjoyed the company of this novel. It's a celebration of woman to write finding her personal avenues of self-expression.

Enthusiasm purely shows the writer's life adventure. It's about her determination to pursue her dream. Through her simple routine as the housewife, you still can gain big desire to keep moving. It taught me some lessons that we never know how far or short us to our destination. The eagerness should last throughout our lives.

Everyone has the lowest point in life. Through Enthusiasm helps me finding the answer. It brings me back to my senses, and making me more appreciate of my life.

Learn yourself from the book. I know I am. If you have a dream, don't wait to pursue it.(*)

VIVIANA WIDJAJA: Thumbs Up for Enthusiasm Book!

Greeting from Viviana, Malaysia! Attached is a photo of me wearing Batik with Enthusiam book in my hands. The photo was taken in Japanese garden, Ipoh, Malaysia, on September 12 by my hubby.

Enthusiasm book is enjoyable and inspiring to read, especially for women. If you have a low point in your life and look for some inspiration, may Fida’s stories in Enthusiasm lift up your spirit. I love reading her novel about her true story of woman’s life journey because women share the same dilemma and I can relate her stories with mine.

To read her detail entry, you may visit Viviana's blog posted on September 12, 2010, entitled Seek Enthusiasm Within Yourself.
